Lucknow, Sep 30 (UNI) Accusing the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of trying new tactics to cover up the truth, Samajwadi party (SP) president Akhilesh Yadav said that lies and betrayals have become the main weapons of the BJP's politics. In a statement issued on Wednesday, Mr Yadav said that no one can compete with BJP in covering up the truth and trying new tactics to mislead the people. The farmers are in a miserable condition while the BJP government is working hard to confuse them. There is widespread public anger over the Agricultural Bills in not just the state but in the country.

India, Denmark agree to elevate ties to Green Strategic Partnership

New Delhi, Sep 28 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Danish counterpart Mette Frederiksen on Monday agreed to elevate India-Denmark relations to a Green Strategic Partnership in a bid to have shared desire to remain trusted partners. The partnership would build on and consolidate the existing agreement establishing a Joint Commission for Cooperation between the two countries, a joint statement issued after a vitrual bilateral summit between the prime ministers of two countries held on Monday.

BJP confident of winning 220 seats in Bihar elections

New Delhi, Sep 25 (UNI) BJP on Friday expressed confidence that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) will win 220 seats in the just-declared Bihar assembly elections. BJP spokesperson Shahnawaz Hussain said in a statement that the NDA in Bihar will win 220 seats in the 2020 election. BJP MP terms Insolvency Bill amendment ‘bold step’

New Delhi, Sep 19 (UNI) Bharatiya Janata Party MP Arun Singh on Saturday termed the amendment to Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016 as a "remarkable and bold step'. Speaking on the legislation tabled by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, he cited statistics, including ease of doing business ranking, that had improved under the NDA government, and observed that it was testament to the success of the Bill. He was speaking on the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (Second Amendment) Bill 2020 tabled by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman for consideration and passing to replace the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (Amendment) Ordinance, 2020 promulgated on June 5 and staying insolvency proceedings for defaults arising for six months from March 25, 2020 (extendable upto one year). The ordinance comes as a response to the Covid-19 pandemic to help bankrupt businesses tide over the situation. He praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for bringing in the Bill and recalled the contribution of former Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, who had worked hard on the Bill. Dinesh Trivedi, AITC, described the Bill as a hastily put together package and warned that the unscrupulous could take advantage of the provisions. He said the need of the hour to revive the economy was to print notes, put money in the hands of the people so that they could generate demand and jobs.
