IED detected, defused near Srinagar Airport, flight operation continues
Srinagar, Sep 21 : Alert security forces in the wee hours of Tuesday averted a major tragedy when they detected and defused a powerful Improvised Explosive Device (IED) planted by militants on road at Humhama area of Srinagar Airport in central Kashmir district of Budgam.
Clothes, pressure cooker recovered from suspicious bag in Srinagar
Srinagar, Jul 9 : A suspicious bag, which created panic in downtown Srinagar, contained clothes and pressure cooker on Friday, official sources said.
A suspicious bag was spotted near S K Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) in Soura on Friday by security forces. “A Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) was immediately summoned to the spot,” they said, adding the traffic in the area was also suspended.
