UP govt acquires 80 pc land for Ganga Expressway

Lucknow, Jun 30 : The Uttar Pradesh government has acquired 5,261 hectare land, which is 80 per cent of the total requirement for its Rs 40,000 crore "Ganga Expressway" project, Chief Minister Adityanath said here on Wednesday.

Yogi ask officials to ensure sufficient medical aid for Covid patients

Lucknow, May 20 (UNI) As the number of deaths because of black fungus is rising, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has asked officials to ensure sufficient quantity of medical aids required for the treatment of this dread disease. “Ensure adequate availability of all essential medicines by communicating with health experts regarding the cause and treatment of black fungus,” he said here on Thursday while adding that a letter should be sent to the Government of India requesting to increase the allocation.

Encephalitis experience will help in controlling COVID wave in UP:Yogi

Lucknow, May 19 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has exuded confidence of having the perfect machinery in place to control and restrict the possible third wave of COVID-19, as the state will be using its experience of controlling the Japanese Encephalitis. Regarding the arrangements to tackle the third COVID wave, which the experts fear will affect children more, Adityanath, while addressing a high level meeting here on Wednesdsy, said, “Our experience in tackling the Japanese Encephalitis will help us in controlling the spread of third wave of COVID-19,” adding, "My Government has prepared an action plan to effectively check the third wave.”

Lucknow, May 18 (UNI) Emphasising the need for adequate medical and health care facilities to tackle the situation arising due to Black Fungus and possible Third wave, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has asked the officials to prepare post-COVID wards and PICU wards along with providing training to paediatricians, technicians and paramedical staff of all district hospitals. The CM, during his routine meeting with Team- 9 members here on Tuesday, further emphasized on other critical issues, including amongst others, provision of adequate medication for black fungus treatment and setting up of oxygen plants in private medical colleges.

UP sets new record in potato production

Lucknow, Dec 21 (UNI) The Uttar Pradesh Government is leaving no stone unturned in working towards the farmers’ welfare and now the state has set a record for potato production this season. All the decisions taken by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for the last four years has now started showing positive results. In this sequence, potato farming has been done in all the districts of the state. Last year, approx 147.77 lakh tonnes of potatoes have been produced in the state, and till November 2020, farmers received a good price of potatoes. Officials predict that this time the state will set a new record in potato cultivation, officials here on Monday claimed.
