New Delhi, Sep 28 (UNI) Aiming to make India as a global manufacturing destination of military platforms, reduce timelines for acquisition of defence equipment and allow purchase of essential items by the three services, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Monday unveiled a new Defence Acquisition Procedure (DAP). Under the new policy, the offset guidelines have also been revised to give preference to defence majors offering to manufacture products in India instead of meeting the offset obligations through other means, officials said.
