Jammu, Oct 24 : Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday inaugurated the new campus of the Indian Institute of Technology in Jammu on the second day of his visit to Jammu and Kashmir. The new campus of IIT Jammu, built at a cost of Rs 210 crore, provides all facilities like good hostels, a gymnasium and indoor games along with higher education to students. Shah also inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of various development projects for Jammu and Kashmir.

Dr. Jitendra Singh, Union Minister of State (Ind. Charge) Science & Tech; (Ind. Charge) Earth Sciences; PMO, PP/DoPT, Atomic Energy, Space congratulated Prof. J. P. Sharma, Vice Chancellor, SKUAST-Jammu for organizing North India Regional Agriculture Fair 2021 and making the University visible at National level. The Union Minister was speaking as a Chief Guest in 5-days’ long Northern India Regional Agriculture Fair 2021 here at SKUAST Jammu. During his address, he informed about various Centrally Sponsored Schemes and programmes such as Soil Health Card, Neem Coated Urea fertilizer, Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana and e-NAM etc for upliftment of farmers and agriculture.
