HP High Court grants conditional bail to Inspector Neeraj after spending...

Hamirpur (HP), May 16 : The HP High Court has granted conditional bail to the former SHO of Nadaun police station of Hamirpur district after remaining in jail for fifty-two days. The court released him after a surety of Rs 1 lakh and a local surety. According to the bail condition, the accused will cooperate in the investigation of Vigilance and Hamirpur Police. He will not be able to leave the country without permission. Importantly, Inspector Neeraj Rana is accused of taking a bribe of 25,000 rupees from a person doing business of milch animals while being the SHO of Nadaun police station.

HP reports 168 COVID cases, 4 deaths

Hamirpur (HP), Nov 3 : Himachal Pradesh recorded 168 new COVID cases, spokesperson of the state Health Department said here on Wednesday. Besides, four people have also lost their lives due to COVID-19. Of these, three were from Kangra district and one from Mandi district He said that 233 older patients, including 84 from Kangra and 54 from Hamirpur district, also recovered and advised complete rest.

HP: 20 applications under Mukhya Mantri Swavalamban Yojana approved

Hamirpur, Oct 12 : As part of Himachal Pradesh Mukhya Mantri Swavalamban Yojana, the district-level committee meeting held on Tuesday has approved 20 new applications, of which 18 were sent to banks for giving loans to young entrepreneurs. During the meeting, Deputy Commissioner Debashweta Banik said, "An investment of about Rs 2.10 crore was proposed for setting up industries and about 60 people will be given employment. A subsidy of about Rs 44 lakh will be given by the government for these industries." Banik urged the youth to set up enterprises under the scheme and said, "Under this scheme, enterprises costing up to Rs one crore can be approved, in which 25 percent will be given to the male entrepreneurs on machinery up to Rs 60 lakh, a grant of 30 percent will be given to women entrepreneurs and 35 percent to widow entrepreneurs."

HP: Offline classes start for 8th class students

Hamirpur (HP), Oct 11: Along with offline classes for the students of 8th class, the schools in Himachal Pradesh were started on a six day week basis from Monday onwards. Nearly five lakh students of the state studying in government and private schools joined the classes from today amid SOP’s formulated by the Government agencies for the Educational institutions.

HP: Three deaths and 155 new COIVD cases

Hamirpur (HP), October 6 : Himachal Pradesh reported 155 new COVID-19 cases and 3 related deaths on Tuesday, authorities said on Wednesday. Among the dead 2 people died in Kangra district and one in Una district. With this, the number of total fatalities has risen to 3, 672, whereas the number of active cases have fallen as 161 older cases also got cured cured, according to a spokesman of the HP Health Department. The spokesman told UNI that as many as 8,874 samples were tested against COVID on Tuesday, out of which 155 were found infected. In the meantime, forty-one new cases were reported in Hamirpur district.
