Hoshiarpur, Sep 5 : Education Minister Vijay Inder Singla on Sunday conferred various awards on 80 teachers/officials during the virtual cum offline state level Teacher Award Ceremony organized by the School Education Department, Punjab.

Hoshiarpur, Aug 28 : Teacher Festival-2021 was celebrated with full vigor in the district by the State Council for Educational Research and Training, Department of School Education, Punjab with the objective of creating new technology and unique teaching experience in teachers. Mr. Gursharan Singh, District Education Officer (Sec.), Hoshiarpur, said that it was very important for teachers to keep pace with the times for educational expansion in schools through unique initiatives and techniques.

Hoshiarpur, Jan 23 (UNI) Thousands of farmers on tractors, trailers and buses on Saturday left for Delhi to participate in the proposed tractor march on the Republic Day. Flags and banners were seen on tractors, cars and buses carrying farmers, including women belonging to various farmers organisations including Azad Kisan Committee, BKU Doaba, Doaba Kisan Committee and Ganna Sangarsh Committee Randhawa Sugar Mill, to Delhi on the route.

In a health bulletin issued here Saturday evening, a senior stated that out of the total reported cases 7200 patients had been cured and discharged, 304 died and 144 active cases were undergoing treatment in Covid Care Centres in the district.
