New Delhi, July 8 : Income Tax Department has conducted searches on pharmaceutical manufacturers and distributors in Haryana and Delhi-NCR and claimed to have seized cash of Rs 4.2 crore and jewellery or bullion worth Rs 4 crore, an official statement said on Friday.

New Delhi, Nov 5 : Carrying out search and seizure operations on dry-fruit traders in Jammu & Kashmir and Punjab, the Income Tax (I-T) department has claimed to have detected hidden income of more than Rs 200 crore. The tax department said on Friday that search action has resulted in seizure of unaccounted cash of Rs 63 lakh and jewellery of Rs 2 crore. As many as 14 bank lockers have been placed under restraint during the anti tax evasion crackdown.

The hawala operators were engaged in routing and handling unaccounted cash in Delhi region.
