Police in J&K destroys 24kg RDX seized during anti-terror Ops

Jammu, Nov 26 : Police in Jammu and Kashmir's Reasi destroyed explosives seized during various anti-terrorism operations from the Mahore belt, it was reported on Friday. Reasi Senior Superintendent of Police Shailendra Singh said different police stations and teams of Special Operation Group had seized grenades, IEDs, RDX in as many ass 15 terrorism-related cases registered since 2009 in Mahore-Chassana area.

J&K DGP sanctions merit scholarship for 242 police wards

Srinagar, Oct 25 : Director General of Police (DGP) Dilbag Singh on Monday sanctioned a merit scholarship worth Rs 16.11 lakh in favour of 242 wards of serving police personnel of Jammu and Kashmir. A police spokesman said, encouraging and appreciating the hard work of the wards of Police personnel who have excelled in class 12th annual examination during the academic session 2020-2021, the DGP sanctioned meritorious scholarships of over rupees 16.11 lakh in favour of 242 wards of serving police personnel.

Srinagar, Aug 2 : Reacting sharply to J&K Police move to deny security clearance to those involved in crimes prejudicial to the security of the State, including stone-pelting, former J&K chief minister Omar Abdullah on Monday said that an executive order cannot replace a court of law, even as guilt or innocence should be proven in the court and not based on vague unproven police reports.
