Roll back of Farm laws only for poll purpose: Kharge

New Delhi, Nov 29 : Rajya Sabha Leader of Opposition Mallikarjun Kharge on Monday welcomed the repeal of Farm Laws but said the government rolled back the laws passed last September only to repair the damage done ahead of the upcoming state elections.

UN vehicle attack: India asks Pak to responsibly investigate lapses

New Delhi, Dec 20 (UNI) After dismissing Pakistan allegations regarding attacks on a UN vehicle on Friday, India on Sunday asked Pakistan to responsibly investigate its lapses. In response to media queries on allegations by Pakistan regarding Indian forces targeting a UN vehicle, Ministry of External Affairs Anurag Srivastava said, "Allegations by Pakistan regarding Indian forces deliberately targeting a UN vehicle on 18 December 2020 have been investigated in detail and found to be factually incorrect and false. Our forward troops were aware of the visit of UN Military Observers in the area and did not conduct any firing as alleged."

EPFO payroll data: 11.55 lakh net subscribers added in Oct

New Delhi, Dec 20 (UNI) The provisional payroll data of EPFO, released on Sunday, revealed that the retirement fund body has added 11.55 lakh net subscribers in October last. 'Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, EPFO has added around 39.33 lakh subscribers during the current financial year (from April to October). The data published comprises of members who have joined during the month and whose contribution has been received by EPFO for the wage month,' the Ministry of Labour and Employment said in a statement here.
