India gave 160 metric tons of oxygen to Bangladesh

Dhaka, Jul 22 : In line with Prime minister Narendra Modi's "Neighbour first" policy to defeat Corona, about 160 metric tons of liquid medical oxygen arrived in Bangladesh Thursday on an emergency basis through India's Integrated Check Post (ICP) Petrapole. This oxygen comes in 11 tankers and its has been imported by three companies in Bangladesh called Linde, Spectra and Pure Oxygen. Considering the critical situation of liquid oxygen in hospitals in Bangladesh, ICP Petrapole officials arranged a green corridor for the export of medical oxygen.

Chandigarh, May 20 (UNI) In its battle against Covid-19, Haryaya has almost overcome the problem of oxygen supplies by ensuring timely delivery of oxygen cylinders at the doorstep of the home of isolated patients. The entire administrative machinery, under the constant vigil of Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, has been on its toes to ensure that oxygen was available adequately enough to meet the needs of patients in hospital and home, alike. As of today a provision of 13,949 oxygen beds has been made in the state besides the provision of 5,350 ventilators/ICU beds.

Army assists in restoration of oxygen generation plant in Srinagar

Srinagar, May 20 (UNI) The Army on Thursday assisted the civil administration in restoring an oxygen generation plant that was defunct from last five years in the summer capital, Srinagar. Defence Ministry spokesperson Lt Col Emron Musavi said that the Oxygen plant of Enn Dee Gases, which is located at Rangreth on city outskirts was lying out of action for last five years. 'It has the capacity of filling 700 cylinders of oxygen per day. It was vital to make this plant serviceable to increase the oxygen production capacity in the valley,' he said.
