Oxygen Expresses deliver more than 7115 MT of Medical Oxygen to...

New Delhi, May 13 (UNI) The Indian Railway on Thursday said that till date Oxygen Expresses delivered more than 7115 MT of Medical Oxygen in more than 444 tankers to various states across the country. Informing that on Wednesday, the Oxygen Expresses delivered nearly 800 MT of life-saving gas across the country, the Railway also said that 115 Oxygen Expresses have completed their journey so far and brought relief to various states.

UP govt places order for 17k oxygen concentrators

Lucknow, May 14 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh government on Friday placed order for 17,000 oxygen concentrators to meet the demand of life saving gas in the rural areas. Director General, Health, DS Negi said the order has been placed and oxygen concentrators will be available as soon as possible. To battle coronavirus, four Community Health Centres (CHC) hospitals in each district of Uttar Pradesh are being converted into L-1 Plus. These hospitals will have a total of 50 beds with oxygen concentrators and a special team of doctors for 24-hour monitoring of patients, officials said. The L-1 beds are generally the isolation beds but with oxygen facilities.

Oxygen Expresses deliver record 831 MT of LMO in 24 hours

New Delhi, Mat 10 (UNI) Indian Railways on Monday said that its Oxygen Expresses had delivered a record 831 Metric Tonnes (MT) of Liquid Medical Oxygen (LMO) in a single day, overcoming all hurdles and finding new solutions. Notably, Indian Railways has delivered nearly 4700 MT of LMO in more than 295 tankers to various states across the country. It also said that 75 Oxygen Expresses have already completed their journey so far.

New Delhi, May 8 (UNI) The Indian Railways on Saturday said that as on date, it has delivered nearly 3400 MT of LMO in more than 220 tankers to various states across the country. As of now, it has delivered 230 MT of life saving gas has been offloaded in Maharashtra, 968 MT in Uttar Pradesh, 249 MT in Madhya Pradesh, 355 MT in Haryana, 123 MT in Telangana, 40 MT in Rajasthan and 1427 MT in Delhi, it added.

New Delhi, May 7 (UNI) The Indian Navy on Friday said that it has deployed its ships INS Talwar, INS Kolkata, INS Airavat, INS Kochi, INS Tabar, INS Trikand, INS Jalashwa and INS Shardul to ferry oxygen containers, cylinders, concentrators and related equipment from friendly foreign countries. According to the Navy officials, INS Talwar has already docked at New Mangalore port with two oxygen containers of 27 TM capacity on May 5.

New Delhi, May 5 (UNI) Scaling up its COVID relief Operation Samudra Setu II, the Indian Navy on Wednesday said that the ships from all three Naval Commands in Mumbai, Visakhapatnam and Kochi have been deployed for shipment of Liquid Medical Oxygen (LMO) and associated medical equipment from friendly foreign countries in Persian Gulf and South East Asia. On the Western seaboard, Indian Naval Ship Talwar entered the port of New Mangalore in Karnataka today ferrying two 27 tons liquid oxygen tanks from Bahrain while INS Kolkata, deployed in Persian Gulf, also departed Kuwait on May 5 after embarking two 27 ton oxygen tanks, 400 Oxygen cylinders and 47 concentrators.

New Delhi, May 4 (UNI) Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Tuesday visited the Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Hospital in Mongolpuri to take stock of the health facilities and an oxygen plant installed in the hospital. Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Hospital recently installed an oxygen plant imported from France, which will help refill at least 80-100 big cylinders daily. This plant will ensure a sustained supply of oxygen for all oxygenated and ICU beds. At present, the hospital has 300 beds in its premises, of which 118 beds have been allocated to COVID-19 patients.

Chandigarh, Apr 26 (UNI) In view of the large number of new and active COVID-19 cases in the state, the Haryana Government has requested the Central Government to supply 40 MT of oxygen daily from Jamshedpur, Jharkhand in addition to the quota of oxygen previously allocated to the state. Giving this information here on Monday, an official spokesperson said that to ensure the supply of oxygen to COVID-19 patients, the State has also requested to increase the 162 MT quota of oxygen allocated by the Central Government to 270 MT per day.
