London, May 7 : The UK Defence Ministry on Saturday said the ongoing conflict in Ukraine was taking a heavy toll on some of Russia's most capable units and most advanced capabilities. The UK ministry said that one T-90M, Russia's most advanced tank, was destroyed during fighting. "At least one T-90M, Russia's most advanced tank, has been destroyed in fighting. T-90M was introduced in 2016 and includes improved armour, an upgraded gun and enhanced satellite navigation systems," the ministry said in a series of tweets.

Russia confirms 16,735 new Covid cases

Moscow, Jan 7 (UNI/Sputnik) Russia has confirmed 16,735 new cases of Covid 19, taking the cumulative total to 10,618,035, the Federal Response Center said on Friday. "Over the past 24 hours, 16,735 Covid 19 cases have been confirmed in 85 regions in Russia, including 1,834 cases (11.0 per cent) without clinical symptoms," the Center said. Moscow logged the highest tally of 3,694 new infections followed by Saint Petersburg with 1,291. As many as 787 coronavirus patients have died in Russia in the past 24 hours.

Moscow, Nov 26 (UNI/Sputnik) Russia has confirmed 34,690 new COVID-19 cases over the past 24 hours, bringing the cumulative total to 9,502,879, the federal response center said on Friday. "Over the past 24 hours, 34,690 COVID-19 cases have been confirmed in 85 regions in Russia, including 2,466 cases (7.1 per cent) without clinical symptoms," the center said, adding that the rate of increase was 0.37 per cent.
