Prof. B. N. Tripathi, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor SKUAST-Jammu made his maiden visit to Advanced Centre of Rainfed Agriculture, Rakh Dhiansar along with Dr. Anil Kumar, Dean Faculty of Agriculture, Dr. Vikas Tandon, Dean Faculty of Horticulture & Forestry and Dr. Mahital Jamwal, Associate Director Research, SKUAST-Jammu During the visit to ACRA Dhiansar, Dr A. P Singh, Incharge, ACRA welcomed the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor and other accompanying statutory officers of the university. He further briefed the Vice Chancellor about the ongoing station activities including different projects and experiments being carried out at research station.

6 th J&K Agricultural Science Congress concluded today at Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Science and Technology - Jammu. The Congress was organized in collaboration with J&K Science, Technology and Innovation Council, Department of Science & Technology, UT of J&K. The main theme of the Congress was “Diversification of Agriculture for Self-Reliant Mountain Agro-Ecology”. Professor B. N. Tripathi, the Vice Chancellor of SKUAST-Jammu, graced the valedictory function as the Chief Guest.

Four days awareness cum training programme on “Hygienic Milk Production and Value Addition of Milk” to the Farmers of Jammu district concludes at Division of Veterinary & Animal Husbandry Extension Education, Faculty of Veterinary Sciences & Animal Husbandry, R.S.Pura, SKUAST-Jammu. The awareness programme was organized under the patronage of Prof. (Dr.) B.N. Tripathi, Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor SKUAST-Jammu and being funded by HADP Project Entitled “Innovative extension approaches for revitalizing agricultural extension”

National Service Scheme, and Health Centre SKUAST-Jammu, under the Patronage of Dr. B. N. Tripathi, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor SKUAST-Jammu and guidance of Dr. Sudhakar Dwivedi, Dean Students Welfare organised “Drug Free Camp Campaign” under NashaMukt Bharat Abhiyan. Prof. Sudhakar Dwivedi, Dean Student Welfare spoke on the importance of  Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan under which the govt. is firmed to make country free from all such substances which comes under narcotics. He emphasised that young NSS volunteers can bring a change in the society by making aware the society about drug abuse and drug addiction.

Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Jammu (SKUAST-J) in collaboration with J&K Science, Technology and Innovation Council, Department of Science & Technology, UT of J&K is organizing a three-days’ J&K Agricultural Science Congress from February 08 to Feb 10 at its main campus Chatha. Sh. Manoj Sinha, Honourable LG, UT of J&K & Chancellor SKUAST Jammu will be the Chief Guest on the occasion.

Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Jammu conducted an interaction meeting under the Patronage of Dr. B. N. Tripathi, Vice Chancellor, SKUAST-Jammu with Deputy Director General, Agricultural Extension, Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), Dr. U. S. Gautam, who visited SKUAST-Jammu on Monday. Dr. Gautam, in his address, assured farmers of ICAR's continuous support towards their development.
