New Delhi, Mar 9 (UNI) The Supreme Court on Tuesday junked a petition challenging the Election Commission's decision to conduct the West Bengal Assembly polls over eight phases. A bench headed by Chief Justice S A Bobde was hearing the plea that sought directions to the EC to stop it from holding the Assembly elections in the state in an “unequal manner” in eight phases and also to bar the BJP and its leaders from using "Jai Shri Ram" as a slogan during the campaign.
