6,000 kg milk powder meant for distribution under ‘Kishrabhagya’ seized while being transported illegally

Belagavi, Oct 12 (UNI) Police have seized 240 bags (each 25 kg) of Milk Powder meant for distribution under Karnataka Government’s ambitious ‘Ksheera Bhagya’ Scheme to children, last night in Bailhongal Police Station limits and driver of the van was arrested in this connection.

Superintendent of Police Laxman Nimbargi in a release here on Monday said that the Milk Powder seized was worth about Rs 15 lakh and was transported illegally in a Canter from Belur Industrial area in Dharwad.
Driver Pundalik Bassappa Yekkundi was arrested in this case.
