Lucknow, Jan 29 (UNI) The budget session of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly will commence from February 18. This being the first session of the year, the session will commence with the address of Governor Anandiben Patel to the joint session of the state Legislature, an official statement here on Friday said.
The annual budget for next fiscal 2021-22 is likely to be presented by state Finance Minister Suresh Khanna on February 21 after vote of thanks on Ms Patel’s speech is over.
This session will be politically significant for the Yogi Adityanath government as the government will table last annual budget for 2021-22, of its five years tenure.
The first budget for 2017-18 was presented by the Yogi Adityanath government in July 2017. The elections to the state assembly are due in early 2022.
