Dhankhar summons ACS Home and DGP following killing of BJP leader Manish Shukla

Kolkata, Oct 05 (UNI) West Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar on Monday summoned the ACS Home and DGP in the wake of yesterday’s dastardly killing of BJP leader Manish Shukla, Councillor, Titagarh Municipality in political party office.
Taking to his twitter handle, Mr Dhankhar said, ” ACS Home @MamataOfficial and DGP
@WBPolice have been summoned at 10 am tomorrow in the wake of worsening law and order situation leading to dastardly killing of Manish Shukla, Councillor, Titagarh Municipality in political party office. ”
Unidentified motorcycle-borne miscreants shot at BJP leader Manish Shukla at Titagarh in North 24 Parganas district, injuring him seriously on Sunday evening.
Shukla was taken to a local hospital and later shifted to a private hospital in Kolkata, where he succumbed to his injuries.
The miscreants pumped bullets on Shukla from point blank range.
Shukla was known to be close to BJP MP from Barrackpore Lok Sabha constituency Arjun Singh.
Singh allegedly pointed his fingers at the ruling Trinamool Congress for the killing. Party workers staged demonstration on the busy B T Road in protest against the incident.
