PM approves ex-gratia for Moradabad road accident victims

New Delhi, Jan 31 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday approved an ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh each from Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund for the next of kin of those who have lost their lives in a road accident in Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh.

An amount of Rs 50,000 has been approved for everyone who is seriously injured in the accident.

“PM @narendramodi has approved an ex-gratia of Rs. 2 lakh each from Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund for the next of kin of those who have lost their lives due to the tragic road accident in Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh. Rs. 50,000 would be given to those seriously injured.”, the PMO twitted.

As many as 10 people have been killed while over 25 others injured in a road accident on Agra-Moradabad Highway on Saturday. The accident took place early morning after a bus, truck and a third vehicle collided amid dense fog.

Meanwhile, the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has also announced an ex gratia of Rs 2 Lakh each to the kin of the deceased and Rs 50,000 each to the injured. He has also directed the officials that adequate medical treatment be made available to the injured.
