Delhi’s anti-dengue drive enters 7th week

New Delhi, Oct 18 (UNI) Delhi Environment Minister Gopal Rai on Sunday said that national capital’s fight against Dengue is on for the seventh consecutive week under the ‘Ten weeks, at 10 o’clock, for 10 minutes’ campaign.

As the campaign entered its 7th week, this time it was shopkeepers’ turn to check for stagnant water in their surroundings and drain it to prevent breeding of aedes aegypti mosquitoes.

Taking to Twitter Rai said that it must be everyone’s responsibility that there is no stagnant water in their surroundings that can be breeding ground for the dengue mosquito.

This time too, Delhi and its people will win and the vector borne disease will loose. Sharing a picture of self changing the water form a plant pot on his official twitter handle Rai said, ‘Dengue pe vaar har Ravivaar….. Fight against dengue everyone Sunday’.

According to a municipal corporation report, the union territory has recorded 316 cases of dengue till Oct 13
