Army paid rich tributes to two soldiers martyred in Kupwara at LoC

Srinagar, Oct 2 (UNI) Army on Friday paid rich tributes to two soldiers who were martyred after Pakistani troops violated ceasefire and resorted to unprovoked shelling and firing at the Line of Control (LoC) in the frontier district of Kupwara.
Chinar Corps Commander Lt General B S Raju and other senior Army officer paid rich tributes to Havaldar Kuldeep Singh of 15 Sikh Light Infantry and rifleman Shubam Sharma of 8 JAK Rifles who made supreme sacrifice in the line of duty at Naugam sector in Kupwara on October Ist.
The soldiers were martyred when Pak troops shelled and fired from across the border at LoC at Naugam sector yesterday when similar violation was reported at Keran and Machil sector.
Later the bodies were sent to their native places for last rites.
