Srinagar, Sep 11 (UNI) Body of a militant, who jumped into a Nallah after being injured in an encounter with security forces, was fished out after four days in the central Kashmir district of Badgam, a defence ministry spokesman said on Friday.
Col Rajesh Kalia said an encounter took place between militants and security forces during a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) at Kawoosa Khlisa in Badgam on September 7 morning.
A militant was injured in the encounter who later jumped into nearby Nallah Sukhnag.
He said a massive search operation was launched in the Nallah (waterbody) and trained divers also joined the operation.
After four days of searches, body of the militant was recovered on Friday morning, Col Kalia said.
