CBI arrests agent demanding bribe on behalf of J&K Grameen Bank head in Kathua

The CBI had registered a case against Branch Head, J&K Grameen Bank, Parliwand Branch, Kathua (J&K), based on the complaint of a person for demanding a bribe through his agent.

The complainant had alleged that the Branch Head, J&K Grameen Bank demanded a bribe of Rs 50,000 from him through the accused person (agent) for processing and sanctioning a housing loan of Rs 20 Lakh of the complainant’s father.

He said that the CBI laid a trap and caught the private person while demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 20,000 (part payment of bribe).

Searches are being conducted at the premises of both the accused at Kathua (J&K).

The arrested person was identified as Jatinder Kumar and will be produced before the Special Judge, CBI cases, Jammu.
