Cong sets up committees for Assembly polls in UP

New Delhi, Sep 6 (UNI) Ahead of the Assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh, scheduled to be held in 2022, the Congress on Sunday constituted several committees, including the Manifesto Committee, Training and Cadre Development Committee, Programme Implementation Committee, Outreach Committee, Membership Committee, Panchayati Raj Committee, and the Media & Communication Advisory Committee.

Senior Congress leader Salman Khurshid has been made the Chairman of the Manifesto Committee, while Pramod Tewari will head the Outreach Committee.

Besides Mr Khurshid, the Manifesto Committee will comprise PL Punia, Aradhana Misra, Supriya Shrinate, Vivek Bansal and Amitabh Dubey, while members of the Outreach Committee include Pramod Tiwari, Pradip Jain, Gajraj Singh, Naseemuddin Siddiqui, Imran Masood and Bal Kumar Patel.

The Membership Committee will be chaired by Anugrah Narayan Singh, while the Programme Implementation Committee will be headed by Noor Bano.

Nirmal Khatri will be the Chairman of the Training and Cadre Development Committee, while Rajesh Mishra will chair the Panchayat Raj Committee and Rashid Alvi will be the Chairman of the Media and Communication Advisory Committee.
