Deepika Padukone to visit NCB office on Sep 26 in drugs case related to SSR death

Mumbai, Sep 24 (UNI) Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone, who along with other celebrities were issued summons by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) for the probe into a drugs case, will join the investigation on Saturday, officials said on Thursday. Deepika has acknowledged the summon and has agreed to join the investigation on Saturday, they said. According to reports, Deepika is shooting for a film in Goa these days.

Besides Deepika, NCB has also summoned other Bollywood actresses like Sara Ali Khan, Shraddha Kapoor, Rakul Preeet Singh, Deepika’s manager Karishma Prakash and Sushant’s former manager Shruti Modi for questioning in the drug-related case pertaining to actor Sushshant Singh Rajput death case.

While Deepika, along with Karishma, has been called for questioning on September 25 and Sara and Shradhha have been called on September 26.

Rakul, Shruti and fashion designer Simone Khambatta were summoned to appear in agency office today, however, Rakul and Karishma will be joining investigation on Friday.

The official said that the actors have been summoned after several alleged chats of them discussing drugs came to the fore during the investigation of the SSR case.
