Delhi records 2411 cured cases of COVID, recovery rate at 87 pc

New Delhi, Sep 7 (UNI) The national capital on Monday registered 2411 cured or discharged cases during the past 24 hours, which were more than the fresh infections in the same duration, after several days.

New cases recorded since Sunday were 2077, according to the state health bulletin, while the recovery rate witnessed a little improvement and stood at 87 per cent.

Since the past three days, there were more than 2900 new cases coming, a figure, which decreased on Monday.

Till date, the highest single-day spike in Delhi has been of 3,947 cases, clocked on June 23.

Fatalities due to COVID have mounted to 4599, after 32 people died due to the virus, since Sunday.

The active case load on the city has reduced by 366 cases since yesterday and the figure presently stands at 20,543.

The overall case tally of the city has now reached 1,93,526, while 1,68,384 patients have so far recovered in the national capital till date.

Patients under home isolation also surged by 603, to reach 11,613 and the containment zones across the city have now increased to 1,114.
