New Delhi, Sep 20 (UNI) DMK leader TKS Elangovan on Sunday that the Farmers’ and Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Bill, 2020 and Farmers (Empowerment and Protection) Agreement on Price Assurance and Farm Services Bill, 2020, will make the farmers slaves.
Participating in the debate in Rajya Sabha, he said, “Farmers who contribute at least 20 per cent to the total GDP of the country, will be made slaves by these bills. It will kill the farmers and make them a commodity.”
He also said that these bills are an insult to farmers and would not help the helps instead make them a commodity.
