New Delhi, Oct 11 (UNI) Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday urged everyone to take a pledge to provide our girls a world which is safe, equal, progressive and is also full of opportunities.

Delhi CM took to twitter to spread his message on the occasion of the International Day of the Girl Child which is observed on October 11 every year. Subsequently it was declared as the same by the United Nations on the same day in the year 2012.

It is also called the International day of the Girl.

‘On this International Day of the Girl Child, let’s pledge to provide our girls a world which is safe, equal, progressive and full of opportunities. #DayOfTheGirl,’ Mr Kejriwal tweeted.

The theme of International Day of the Girl Child is “My voice, our equal future”.
