Major fire broke at Warehouse in Telangana

Just a day after a massive fire that took place in an underground hydroelectric power unit at Srisailam nine got killed, on Saturday night another fire was reported from Telangana. The fire broke out at a chemical warehouse at Bonthapally Industrial Estate in Telangana’ Sangareddy.

So far, no injuries were reported.

The fire incident in Srisailam took place on Thursday night. A short-circuit is suspected to have caused the fire, followed by an explosion in unit four of the six-unit power station. K Chandrasekhar Rao, Telangana chief minister has ordered a Criminal Investigation Department probe into the incident and a detailed report will be submitted to the state government. The Chief Minister has also announced the compensation and other aid to the families of the 9 people killed. Rs 50 lakh ex gratia would be paid to family of Divisional Engineer Srinivas Goud and Rs 25 lakh each to the families of the other dead, he said.
