PDD worker, driver dies due to electrocution in north Kashmir

Baramulla, Nov 29 (UNI) A Power Development Department (PDD) casual labourer and a driver died due to electrocution at two different places in north Kashmir district of Bandipora, official sources said on Sunday.
They said PDD worker identified as Assadullah Parray, was got in contact with a live wire when he was repairing transmission line at village Markhundal Sumbal in Bandipora. However, he was immediately rushed to hospital where he was declared dead.
Police has registered a case and initiated proceedings, they said.
Sources said in another incident a tipper (truck) driver identified as Sheer Ahmad, resident of Banihal Ramban in Jammu region, died due to electrocution when his vehicle came in contact with High Tension (HT) wire at Shadipora Sumbal in Bandipora district.
