New Delhi, Oct 24(UNI) President Ram Nath Kovind Vice-President M Venkaiah Naidu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday greeted people on the occasion of Durga Puja.
Greeting people on the occasion, the President said, ‘Greetings and good wishes to fellow citizens on Durga Puja. This is a celebration of the victory of good over evil. On this occasion, we all should take a firm resolve to respect and empower our womenfolk. May Goddess Durga enrich our lives with joy, peace and prosperity. ‘
In his greetings to the people on Durga Puja, the Vice president said,’Greetings on the occasion of DurgaPuja, may Goddess Durga bless us all with her choicest blessings. As we celebrate the victory of good over evil, let us resolve to eradicate the evils existing in society and together make our surroundings safe, healthy, liveable & prosperous.’
The Prime Minister also greeted people on Durga Puja.
‘Greetings on the special occasion of Maha Ashtami to everyone. I pray that Maa Durga continue to bless us all with happiness, good health and prosperity,’ the PM said.
