SC nixes plea seeking postponement of UPSC exams

New Delhi, Sep 30 (UNI) The Supreme Court on Wednesday dismissed a petition seeking deferment of UPSC Civil Services (Preliminary) examinations, scheduled to be held on October 4.

The Apex Court said that the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) should ensure that all the Covid-19 protocols are followed.

A bench headed by Justice Ashok Bhushan passed the interim directions after hearing a petition seeking postponement of the examinations.

“We refuse to pass any order on the petition seeking a direction for postponing Civil Services (Preliminary) examinations, scheduled for October 4”, the Apex Court bench said.

Notably, the Civil Services (Preliminary) examinations is scheduled to be held as per the order and notification on October 4.
