Sisodia condoles demise of senior RJD leader Raghuvansh Singh

New Delhi, Sep 13 (UNI) Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Sunday condoled the death of senior Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Raghuvansh Prasad Singh.

Taking to micro-blogging site Twitter, Mr Sisodia said,”A tribute to the former Union Minister and especially to the popular leader of Purvanchal, Raghuvansh Prasad Singh. Your contribution in improving the village and the poor through MNREGA law, and making social justice an essential part of Indian politics will be remembered.”

Raghuvansh who was the architect of the MNREGA, passed away at AIIMS here today.

He represented the Vaishali constituency of Bihar, and was the Union Cabinet Minister for Rural Development in UPA-I of Manmohan Singh’s government.
