Pune : Very heavy rains, thunderstorm likely over parts of NE

Pune, Sep 24 (UNI) Heavy to very heavy rainfall with extremely heavy rainfall very likely at isolated places over east Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Uttarakhand, southeast Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, south Gujarat region, and Konkan and Goa.
Thunderstorm with lightning very likely at isolated places over Uttarakhand, eastern parts of Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Sikkim, Odisha, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal.
Southwest monsoon has been vigorous over Assam, Meghalaya, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Bihar, east Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh whereas it’s active over Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Uttarakhand, Gujarat region, and Konkan and Goa.
It has subdued over Odisha, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, west Rajasthan, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema and Tamil Nadu.

From 0830 hrs Wednesday to 0830 hrs Thursday, thunderstorm was observed at isolated places over Uttarakhand, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, eastern parts of Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Vidarbha, West Bengal, Sikkim, Assam, Meghalaya, coastal Andhra Pradesh, and Yanam.

Rain or thundershowers occurred at most places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Bihar, east Uttar Pradesh, east and west Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Konkan and Goa, coastal Karnataka, Kerala, Lakshadweep, Jharkhand, Uttarakhand, Gujarat region and madhya Maharashtra.
Rain or thundershowers occurred at few places in Gangetic West Bengal, west Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Saurashtra and Kutch, Marathwada, north and south interior Karnataka, Odisha, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, east Rajasthan, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, and Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
Mainly dry weather prevailed in Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, west Rajasthan and Rayalaseema.
