Congress welcomes announcement of Bihar Assembly polls

New Delhi, Sep 25 (UNI) Welcoming the announcement of Bihar Assembly polls by the Election Commission Congress on Friday said that the people of the state are done with the flawed administration by the Nitish Kumar government and now want to get rid of the same. Congress General Secretary incharge for Bihar Shakti Singh Gohil addressing a press conference here said that the EC has announced the Bihar Elections to be conducted in three phases beginning October 28.

He said that that the people of Bihar are now want to get rid of the BJP and JDU coalition government’s bad administration and therefore Congress welcomes its announcement, he added.

Gohil said that the Bihar polls will be taking place not between parties, but, over the real issues of public and Nitish government’s bad administration.

He alleged that there is no coordination and synergy between the governance and the administration and between this power tussle, the commoner is being grinded.

He claimed that there was no one happy in the state and the people are being mis-guided for the past fifteen years.

The Congress leader termed the talk of good governance in Bihar as a fraud and said that people who have talked about the so called good governance have now been recognized byt he people of the state.

The Election Commission made announcement for Bihar Assembly Elections to be held in three phases in October-November.

First phase of polling would be held on October 28, second phase on November 3 and third phase on November 7 while counting of votes would be taken up on November 10. The term of present Bihar Assembly is ending on November 29.
