World Economic Forum cancels Singapore meet in view of Covid pandemic

New Delhi, May 17 (UNI) The World Economic Forum on Monday cancelled its Special Annual Meeting in Singapore which was to take place just three months from now. The next Annual Meeting will instead take place in the first half of 2022, WEF said in a statement. Final location and date will be determined based on an assessment of the situation later this summer.

SpiceJet launches scheduled freighter services to Singapore

Kolkata, Feb 24 (UNI) SpiceXpress, the dedicated cargo arm of SpiceJet, has launched scheduled cargo flights connecting Mumbai, Bengaluru and Chennai with Singapore. The airline will deploy its Boeing 737-700F/800F aircraft on these routes. SpiceJet’s scheduled flights will operate twice-a-week to Singapore’s Changi Airport. The first scheduled flight carrying 13 tonnes of cargo was operated on February 20. In addition to Singapore, SpiceXpress operates scheduled cargo flights to Hong Kong and Bangladesh.

Singapore’s industrial production grows 24.2 pct in September

Singapore, Oct. 26 (Xinhua) Singapore Economic Development Board reported on Monday that the country's manufacturing output grew 24.2 percent year on year in September, compared to a revised 15.4 percent rise in August. Excluding biomedical manufacturing, the output grew 8.5 percent in September from a year ago.
