New Delhi, Feb 8 (UNI) Rajya Sabha Chairman M Venkaiah Naidu on Monday refused to be cowed down by efforts to make the Chair dysfunctional. "If any Member is speaking, objectionable comments will be examined. Nothing was brought to my notice. These continuous allegations... I will be cowed down by such efforts to make the Chair dysfunctional. I resigned from the party even before I accepted the proposal to become the Chairman. Since then, I have not attended any party function. My heart is with the Constitution and the people of India,"

New Delhi, Feb 8 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday reiterated that Minimum Support Price (MSP) for certain farm produce was there (in past), is there (now) and it will remain in the future. Assuring the farmers of the country while replying the debate on ‘Motion of Thanks’ on President’s address in the Rajya Sabha, Mr Modi said that Mandis will be modernised and affordable ration for the poor will continue.

New Delhi, Sep 22(UNI) In a show of 'Gandhigiri', Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman Harivansh on Tuesday served tea to suspended opposition MPs sitting on a 'dharna' at Gandhi statue on the Parliament premises. Mr Harivansh went to the protesting members with tea and served it in cups on Tuesday morning on the lawns of the Parliament complex even as the suspended members called him "anti-farmer".

Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs V Muraleedharan moved a motion for suspension of Derek O'Brien of the All India Trinamool Congress, Sanjay Singh of the Aam Aadmi party, Rajeev Satav of the Congress, KK Ragesh of CPI, Syed Naseer Hussain of the Congress, Ripun Bora of the Congress, Dola Sen of All India Trinamool Congress and Elamaram Kareem of the CPI.

New Delhi, Sep 19(UNI) The Rajya Sabha on Saturday passed a Bill to temporarily suspend initiation of the Corporate Insolvency Resolution Process (CIRP) under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code. The Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code(Second Amendment) Bill, 2020, moved for consideration by the Upper House, was passed by a voice vote.
