New Delhi, Dec 3 (UNI) Vice-President M Venkaiah Naidu on Thursday paid tributes to India’s first President Rajendra Prasad on his 133rd birth anniversary.
Describing him as “a selfless and visionary leader”, Mr Naidu said in a message that Prasad played” a significant role in shaping the polity of India. He will always be remembered for his simplicity and compassion for others.”
Born on this day in 1884, he was in office from January 24, 1950 to May 13, 1962.
