Mumbai, Sep 21 (UNI) BSE Sensex on Monday recovered by 119 pts at 38,965.65 as buying was seen in IT, Energy, Bankex and Technology stocks.
The Nifty of National Stock Exchange too rose by 13.80 pts to 11,518.75.
The Sensex registered intra day high and low at 39,990.76 and 38,776.19 pts respectively.
The Nifty registered intra day high and low at 11,535.25 and 11,477.15 respectively.
The Mid Cap fell by 0.52 pc and Small Cap by 0.21 pc.
In 30 scrips, 9 advanced while 21 declined.
The gainers were HCL Technologies by 3.95 pc to Rs 843.10, Kotak Bank by 2.20 pc to Rs 1306.40, Tech Mahindra by 2.14 pc to Rs 822.20, Infosys by 2.09 pc to Rs 1023.50 and TCS by 1.59 pc to Rs 2489.75.
The losers were Bharti Airtel by 2.68 pc to Rs 483.40, Nestle India by 2.13 pc to Rs 15,756.10, Powergrid by 2.12 pc to Rs 168.15 and Bajaj Auto by 1.97 pc to Rs 2988.60.
