Delhi: 3,834 new nCoV cases, more than 2k containment zones

New Delhi, Sep 24 (UNI) The National Capital recorded 3,834 new cases of Novel Coronavirus during the past 24 hours, taking the overall case-count till date to 2,60,623, the state health bulletin said here on Thursday.
The number of recoveries were lesser than fresh infections in the same duration, as 3,509 cured /discharged cases were registered since Wednesday, the bulletin added.
The total number of containment zones across the city have now crossed the 2k mark and reached 2,059 on Thursday, while the number of patients presently under home isolation is 17,995.
The active case-load on the city has also increased and presently, the national capital houses 31,125 such cases.
Recoveries so far have reached 2,24,375, the government data said, while the recovery rate currently is 86.09 per cent.
After 36 more people losing their life to the highly contagious virus in the past 24 hours, the city’s death toll has increased to 5,123, while the death rate, based on the data of last 10 days, stands at 0.94 per cent, as per the Delhi government.
Till date, a total of 27,56,516 cumulative tests have been conducted in the city.
