Haryana Chief Minister tested Coronavirus Negative, home quarantined for three days

Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar tested negative for coronavirus on Thursday, after he attended a meeting with Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Jal Shakti Minister, who has been infected with the novel disease. Though, Khattar decided to go into home quarantine as a precautionary measure for three days.

Khattar underwent the Covid-19  test on Wednesday, as senior official told PTI. Haryana Chief minister  had attended a meeting with Shekhawat on the matter of Sutlej Yamuna Link on Tuesday. In a tweet earlier on Thursday, The Union minister in a tweet on early Thursday said that he has tested negative for coronavirus.

“Dear friends, during the past few days, I have come in contact with many people who were found to have symptoms of corona. “Though I underwent a COVID-19 test that came negative, I have decided to go into home quarantine for three days as a precautionary measure,” Khattar tweeted in Hindi.

The chief minister will undergo another COVID-19 test just beforePrior to  the Haryana Assembly’s monsoon session that commences on 26th August, the chief minister will undergo another coronavirus  as it has been made mandatory by the Vidhan Sabha speaker for everyone entering the complex, said official. Meeting with Gajendra Singh Shekhawat was also attended by his deputy and Rattan Lal Kataria, Ambala MP on Tuesday.

Kataria also attended another meeting alongside Shekhawat in a virtual conference with E K Palaniswami, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister. Currently Kataria has home quarantined himself.

In a tweet, he informed that he is going into home quarantine as he had come into contact with Shekhawat during the past few days. He also wished Shekhawat a speedy recovery.
