Mumbai, Sep 1 (UNI) Bharti Airtel on Tuesday advanced by 6.38 per cent to close at Rs 546.75 a major gainer in 30 scrips of BSE.
Other gainers were Bajaj Finance by 4.17 per cent, to close at Rs 3635, Asian Paints by 4.10 per cent, to close at Rs 1981.45, Tata Steel by 3.92 per cent, to close at Rs 429 and NTPC by 3.52 per cent, to close at Rs 99.90.
The losers were ONGC by 3.29 per cent to close Rs 79.35, Axis Bank by 2.23 per cent to close at Rs 485.85, Tech Mahindra by 1.75 per cent to close at Rs 728.20, Infosys by 1.53 per cent to close at Rs 914.30 and ICICI Bank by 0.99 per cent to close at Rs 391.10.
