Cabinet congratulates Modi for completing 20 yrs in power, first as CM, then PM

New Delhi, Oct 7 (UNI) The Union Cabinet on Wednesday congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi for completing 20 years in power first as the chief minister of Gujarat and then as the Prime Minister of the country.
Mr Modi has entered his 20th year as head of an elected government without a break, including close to 13 years as the Gujarat chief minister.
Addressing a press conference to brief the media about decisions of the Union Cabinet, Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar said, ”in today’s Cabinet meeting, the Council of Ministers congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi for remaining Head of a Government for 20 years. During this period, he has improved the standard of living of common people. He has made facilities like housing, electricity, available to the last man.”
Since becoming the chief minister of Gujarat in 2001, Mr Modi has led the BJP to power in the state three straight times before steering the party to its biggest, until then, Lok Sabha poll win in 2014 and then scripting an even bigger win in the 2019 general elections.
