Pathanamthitta, Sept 06 (UNI) A COVID-19 patient was assaulted enroute to the Covid centre in an ambulance by the driver at Aranmula here early on Sunday morning.
The ambulance driver Noufal was arrested following the incident, police said. The driver assaulted the 20-year-old woman after parking the ambulance in a deserted area.
The patient informed the hospital authorities about the incident after reaching the hospital The driver, an accused in a murder case, has been removed from the job.
