New Delhi, Nov 25 (UNI) President Ram Nath Kovind and Vice-President M Venkaiah Naidu on Wednesday mourned the death of Rajya Sabha MP from Congress Ahmed Patel, who died at a Gurugram hospital this morning after Covid infection.
The President, in his message to the bereaved family, said he was distressed to know that the Congress veteran was no more.
“An astute Parliamentarian, Patel combined the skills of a strategist and the charm of a mass leader. His amiability won him friends across party lines.”
Mr Naidu, condoling the death, described him as “an able parliamentarian” who always maintained cordial relations with leaders across the political spectrum. My condolences to the bereaved family members. May his soul rest in peace.”
