Shah holds review meeting in North Block on key issues

New Delhi, Sep 28 (UNI) Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Monday held a review meeting in the Home Ministry and discussed several important matters and key issues, including the COVID-19 situation in the country. A senior Home Ministry official said the Union Minister was updated by the higher officials on various important matters of the Ministry, who also discussed with him, the law and order situation arising out of the farmers’ agitation in many parts of the country.

Senior officials of the Ministry, including the Union Home Secretary, were present in the meeting.

On Saturday, Mr Shah met a delegation of political representatives of Ladakh, who were demanding protection of the Sixth Schedule of the Constitution and on his assurance, these leaders had withdrawn the call for boycotting the Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council Election.

The Minister attended office, after getting fully recovered from the Novel Coronavirus infection.

He was tested COVID-19 positive on August 2 and admitted to Medanata Hospital in Gurugram. He was discharged after testing negative for the contagion. Mr Shah was later admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS) on August 18, following complaints of fatigue and body ache and was discharged on August 31.

The Home Minister was again admitted to AllMS on September 13 for complete check up and was discharged on September 17. During his stay in hospital, he remained abreast of all important matters.
