Prof. J.P. Sharma, Vice-Chancellor, Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences & Technology of Jammu (SKUAST-J) launches “Swachhta Abhiyan” pakhwada for cleanliness as a prelude to Gandhi Jayanti celebration at R.S Pura campus under the aegis of NSS initiative. While interacting with the NSS volunteers/students and residential staffs, Prof. Sharma remembered Gandhi Ji’s thoughts and teachings and asked the gathering to follow them in spirit and practice.
He, also inspected the facilities and amenities of the faculty and listened to grievances of the residents. Prof. Sharma congratulated the Dean and all the faculty members for the successful visit of VCI inspection team.
At the outset, Dr. M.S Bhadwal, Dean, F.V.Sc &A.H welcomed the Vice-Chancellor and thanked him for his presence. He explained in detail about the cleanliness programme that has been chalked out for the fortnight involving teaching and non-teaching staffs of all the divisions of the faculty. Students will also do shramdaan and beautification of the campus during their regular NSS period.
During the occasion, teaching and non-teaching staffs, boys and girls residing in the campus along with NSS instructors of the faculty, namely Dr. Dibyendu Chakraborty, Dr. Aditi Koul, Dr. Kawardeep Koul and Dr. Pranav Kumar were present. Dr. Aditi Koul presented vote of thanks.
