Yogi expresses satisfaction over 1.20 crore Covid tests in UP

Lucknow, Oct 12 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has expressed satisfaction that over 1.20 crore Covid tests have so far been conducted in the state and said the testing should be ramped up further.

He asked to exercise caution at all levels and ensure protection and treatment facilities in order to break the chain of infection.

The Chief Minister, while presiding over a high-level unlock review meeting at his official residence on Monday, directed to link L-3 Covid hospitals with virtual ICUs of SGPGI and L-2 hospitals with virtual ICUs of KGMU. “Through this arrangement, the patients may get expertise from the senior consultants of both the institutions,’ he pointed out.

He also asked to operationalise Integrated Command and Control Centres (ICCC) in full capacity in all the districts with their proper monitoring by the DMs and the CMOs. Reiterating that the mass awareness about protection from Covid is the need of the hour, the CM said the public address system should be used in this regard. He said that people should be sensitised about Covid protocol.

He said that the special sanitisation and cleanliness drive is being conducted in the state. Under this drive, the sanitisation and cleanliness should be taken up in an active manner in Urban and Rural areas alike with spray of anti-larva chemicals and lime powder etc. He said that proper monitoring of the drive should be done and the work should be seen on ground.

The CM asked to ensure proper power supply in view of the coming festivals. He also directed that efforts should be made to control the vegetable and pulse prices. He asked the DMs to take action in view of this and ensure the citizens get essentials at fair prices.
