Union Home Minister Amit Shah pays tribute to Dr S Radhakrishnan on his birth anniversary

New Delhi, Sep 5 (UNI) Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday paid tribute to the country’s first Vice-President Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan on his anniversary and remembered him as an iconic thinker and erudite scholar.

Taking to twitter, he said, “Tributes to an iconic thinker and erudite scholar, former President Dr Saervepalli Radhakrishnan on his Jayanti”.

He also greeted the teachers of the country and said that the entire teaching fraternity have been playing unparalleled role in shaping the nation by selfless guiding millions of souls.

“On #TeachersDay, Greetings to the entire teaching fraternity who have been playing unparallel role in shaping the nation by selfless guiding millions of souls”, he said in the tweet message.

Dr Radhakrishan’s birthday on September 5 is celebrated as ‘Teachers Day’ in India. He was the first Vice-President who went on to become second President of the country.
