New Delhi, Sep 5 (UNI) BJP president J P Nadda greeted the people on the occasion of Teachers Day and said teachings of former President Bharat Ratna Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan will always provide guidance to the nation.
‘Heartfelt greetings to all the countrymen of ‘Teachers’ Day’, celebrated on the birth anniversary of former President, Bharat Ratna Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan ji,’ Mr Nadda said in his tweet on Saturday.
He added that ‘Education provides knowledge and teacher gives. The teachings you have given for the nation will always guide us.’
Dr Radhakrishnan’s birth anniversary is celebrated as Teacher’s day in India since 1962. He was the first Vice President of India and the second President of the country.
